Her understanding and patience is shown through her work with changing school cultures using Social Emotional Learning strategies and supporting and helping families. Dr. Sanford is highly qualified in education codes, federal laws, and procedures. She works diligently with students who are in need of outside resources that may not be provided by the school district and is passionate about helping students address their needs.

Dr. La Price Sanford approaches each situation with careful consideration. Her decisions are well thought-out, implemented effectively and in the best interest of the students. I have been able to observe Dr. Sanford in different situations where I have found her to be an active listener, and an effective communicator. Dr. Sanford is a respectable leader among her colleagues. Her experiences in dealing with sensitive issues have guided her through some difficult issues which have resulted in positive outcomes. During these challenges I have noticed that Dr. Sanford sought help when necessary, and engaged in some very difficult conversations when needed. I admire the fact that Dr. Sanford always keeps the students and their needs at the forefront of every conversation.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Sanford in various capacities and she has a love for helping students by assisting Educators as well as students and she strives to do what is fair and appropriate around student well being. She works with students to be accountable for their educational experience, but does it with care and concern. Dr. Sanford is constantly learning about the ever changing world of education, and has developed into a leader that is respected by her peers.
