I grew up in Los Angeles, California and ultimately graduated from the Los Angeles Unified School District. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Social Sciences, going to graduate school came down to: either Law School or working with students. God led me to the field of education. I earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education with a School Counseling credential and Administrative Services Certificate. I later earned a Doctorate Degree in Education. I also possess a certification in Life Coaching where I specialize in servicing Adolescents.
Having served in many school districts including two districts in the bay area of Northern California and the Los Angeles County Office of Education, I am aware of the diverse needs of students, families, and educators. Over the years, I have a known reputation for understanding the unique needs of students, building relationships, and eliminating as many barriers as I can in order to help students to find success in school.

About Us
I have been in education for over 27 years beginning my career in education as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. I have been a School Counselor at the Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and Alternative High School levels, a Behavior Manager for a County Office of Education, Juvenile Hall, A High School Leadership Teacher and Activities DIrector, A School Site Administrator, and School District Office Administrator servicing a diverse group of students in diverse school districts, in very diverse communities.
Helping students to overcome obstacles and advocating for them so that they have a positive school experience is my known reputation that I take pride in, and I believe in working with educators, community members, and families to address the needs of the whole child! We want kids in school everyday, learning the social skills necessary to solve problems, so that they have a positive school experience and contribute to a safe and positive school culture and climate.
